We\u2019re proud to be associated with a diverse group of community leaders who have provided their time and expertise to help EL ARCA grow and thrive.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

After serving on our Parent Leaderships Council for some time, Ms. Henderson was nominated to join the Board of Directors.\u00a0 She joined the EL ARCA board in 2014 and brings a unique perspective.\u00a0 Mercedes, Ms. Henderson\u2019s daughter attends EL ARCA and thrives with our programs.\u00a0 Ms. Henderson coordinates special education classes and workshops for LAUSD.<\/p>\r\n

A Board Member since 2012, Ms. Perez discovered EL ARCA through her son, Steven, who now attends EL ARCA, when he attended Perez Special Education High School. She decided to join the Board in order to try to give back to EL ARCA after everything they have given to help Steven.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Milad Hanna
Self -Employed Businessman at Sinclair Gas<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Mr. Milad Hanna joined the Board in 2014. Although new to the EL ARCA board, Mr. Hanna is a longtime friend and supporter of EL ARCA. He joined the Board of Directors to help further the Mission of EL ARCA, which is to enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. .<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dr. John M. Menchaca has been the President\/CEO of EL ARCA since 2008 and oversees over 60+ employees and 4 service programs. He has dedicated more than 20 years of his professional life to helping persons with developmental disabilities. Dr. Menchaca grew up in Lincoln Heights and attended East Los Angeles Community College. He has a B.A. from Cal State Los Angeles, a Master in Public Administration from La Verne University and a Doctorate degree \u00a0in Social Work from the University of Southern California.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Dr. Menchaca\u2019 s tenure at EL ARCA started as an instructor in the classrooms. He was then promoted to program director of the Adult Day Programs. Within a few years, when the Vice-Presidency position was created, EL ARCA management knew that John Menchaca had the will and dedication to take on that position. \u00a0Dr. Menchaca believes in empowering the employees and seeks feedback as well as ideas.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Menchaca<\/strong> Presidente\u00a0y CEO\u00a0de EL ARCA<\/strong> John<\/span> M.<\/span> Menchaca<\/span> ha <\/span>sido el Presidente \/ CEO de<\/span> EL<\/span> ARCA desde<\/span> 2008<\/span> y\u00a0esta a cargo de\u00a0m\u00e1s de 50<\/span> empleados<\/span>\u00a0 y<\/span> 4<\/span> programas de servicio<\/span>. Tiene m\u00e1s de 20<\/span> a\u00f1os dedicando<\/span> su<\/span> vida a ayudar a<\/span> personas<\/span> con discapacidades de desarrollo<\/span>. El Sr.<\/span> Menchaca<\/span> creci\u00f3 en<\/span> Lincoln<\/span> Heights<\/span> y asisti\u00f3<\/span> a East<\/span> Los Angeles<\/span> Community College<\/span>. \u00c9l tiene<\/span> una licenciatura de la<\/span> Universidad Estatal de California<\/span> en Los<\/span> \u00c1ngeles<\/span> y complet\u00f3<\/span> una Maestr\u00eda<\/span> en Administraci\u00f3n P\u00fablica de<\/span> la Universidad de<\/span> La Verne<\/span>. La administraci\u00f3n del Sr.<\/span> Menchaca<\/span> en<\/span> EL<\/span> ARCA<\/span> comenz\u00f3<\/span> como instructor<\/span> en las aulas.<\/span>\u00a0Fue entonces<\/span> ascendido a<\/span> director\u00a0<\/span> de los<\/span> programas<\/span> de d\u00eda para adultos<\/span>. Dentro de unos a\u00f1os<\/span>, cuando se cre\u00f3<\/span> la posici\u00f3n de<\/span>\u00a0la Vice-Presidencia<\/span>, EL<\/span> ARCA<\/span> sab\u00eda que Juan<\/span> Menchaca<\/span> tenia la voluntad<\/span> y dedicaci\u00f3n<\/span> para asumir esa posici\u00f3n<\/span>. El Sr.<\/span> Menchaca<\/span>\u00a0cree<\/span> en el empoderamiento de<\/span> las personas y\u00a0\u00a0busca sugerencias como tambien ideas.<\/span>\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
